We're back in Banff!
We're excited to be back.
The CNSF is hosting the Annual 2023 Congress at the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, also the host location for the AETC Conference and Annual General Meeting. Our conference will run from Wednesday, June 7th, 2023-Friday, June 9th, 2023. The AETC conference will include scientific sessions, a keynote speaker dinner, and a social event. Details are being finalized and will be published. Discounted hotel rates will be available to AETC members through the CNSF, and discount codes will be available in March 2023. The 2023 CNSF Congress will run Tuesday, June 6th, 2023-Friday, June 9th, 2023. AETC members can attend CNSF sessions where room permits without additional expense.
Please don’t forget to apply for the available bursaries as these are a great opportunity to offset the expenses related to the conference. Do you have an intriguing topic or case study that you would like to share with your fellow members? Consider presenting! The bursary is a great incentive, but we would love to hear what knowledge you can share with us.
We look forward to reconnecting or meeting you at our first in person conference since 2019. It has been a long wait, and we are working hard to make it a conference to remember.

Good to know!
Upon your entry to the Banff National Park (where the Fairmont Banff Springs, host conference site of the AETC Conference) you will be asked to pay a fee for the duration of your stay in the park.
Banff Park Fees information is provided courtesy of Parks Canada!
Fees are charged to enter Banff National Park as well as most historic and heritage sites in Canada. Your Banff Park Pass fees go towards maintaining these sites chiefly for your visit, but furthermore for future preservation so that our next generations can also enjoy and experience these natural beauties in the same fashion.
Weather conditions
Weather averages in June for Banff, AB are reported as daytime average highs of 19ºC and night time lows of 5ºC.
From previous experience, your planning committee strongly recommends coming prepared with jackets and shoes, but to stay optimistic for sunny days!
